XMRV encodes only for structural proteins. The env gene encodes for two envelope proteins:
- p15E
- gp70
And the gag gene encodes for four core proteins:
- p30
- p15
- p12
- p10
Bonus questions: What does the pol gene encode for? Through which receptor does XMRV enter a cell? Which cells express that receptor?
