Et tu, Mutton?

So in addition to cow products (especially dairy and veal), it seems that lamb does at well cause Acne/Behçet's like symptoms for me.

Tough look.

Interesting was that veal caused much more problems than beef, and that lamb is on the same order as veal. Something is different in the meat from those young animals.

If other bovid animals are the same for me? Seems like the entire family of Bovidae might be bad for me – must be some shared protein or something…

  1. Hello. I have been diagnosed with R.A., fibromyalgia and sjogens since 1986 when I was 30. Now 56+ and have had mouth ulcers continuously for past year. Never had them before that I can remember. Had fever blisters nearly every month prior to menopause:-) bet you wanted to know that! I have had blurry, smokey vision and burning as well as sharp eye pain. I had all teeth pulled and dentures 3 years ago. Had replacement dentures 18 mos ago. Dentist and doctors all say blisters and ulcer/canker sores caused from poor fitting dentures. No amount of explaining that I CAN'T WEAR THE DAMNED DENTURES could get through. So... the rest of the story: I have been eating cheese and greek yogurt for protein for past 18-24 months, some ground beef, trying to avoid seafood and chicken as that seems to make my R.A. worse. I also am bothered by yeast bread, pizza crust, donuts....Yeast in general! Also apples! I took meds for bacterial, parasitic and fungal infections in that order. Had an area of gum removed and stitched to get rid of an ulcer. Still have swelling, red, blisters in mouth along with several ulcers. So, do you think I might have behcet's? Hope to get a return comment. Sorry for the epistle. Guess I needed to vent? LOL as kids put it:-) janet
